A local expression of the Church has gathered under the name Jefferson Evangelical Church for many years!  Individuals, families and the city of Jefferson have been impacted in many ways by the faithful followers of Jesus who have gathered here.

Jefferson Evangelical continues to be a caring group - for each other, for those of our city and beyond!  

We are committed to PRAYER, believing that we must spend time with God and hear from Him if we are to represent Him well.

We are committed to JUSTICE, knowing that as we spend time with Jesus, our hearts will be stirred by what He cares about.  Freedom for the oppressed, sight for the blind, food for the hungry, healing for the sick.  

We are compelled into MISSION.  James 1.22 tells us, "Don't just listen to God's word.  You must do what it says."  As we hear from God and our hearts break for what breaks His heart, we are committed to doing something about it!   This is why one of our driving principles is to "Proclaim the Good News of Jesus in Word & DEED!
